Daniel Perlin

What were reasons for the closing down of the MIT Media Lab Europe as well as Brown's Scholarly Technology Group? How does ITP maintain its precarious balancing act between the university and corporate funding?

Daniel Perlin is a sound designer and artist based in New York. He holds undergraduate degrees in Film, Modern Culture and Media and a Masters degree in Portuguese and Brazilian Studies from Brown University. He is currently completing his Masters from the Interactive Telecommunications Program at NYU. His interactive design work ranges from web based media to physical computing and installation design. His work has been shown at the Chelsea art Museum, Contemporary Arts Museum of Southern Florida, TN Probe, Tokyo, as well as Guggenheim Film, MOMA films, Discovery Channel, Showtime and others.
